Latest Women in Packaging event a hit thanks to Alpana!

This month’s Women In Packaging meeting was a smashing success -- due in no small part to our fabulous host, Alpana Singh!

Amongst the many insights she shared about wine, some of my favorites were: to drink what you like -- but try something new at restaurants and parties; the screw cap is your friend; and Zinfandel goes great with baked Cheetos.

Attendees from PepsiCo, Topco, Signode, Pactiv, Pliant, Hansen Moore, Mead Westvaco and other companies joined us for this wonderful event. We had the great pleasure of trying out wines from several fantastic wineries including Raymond Estates, Alexander Valley, Beam Estates, and Southern Wine and Spirits.

I’d also like to thank The Chicago Chapter of the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IOPP) and The Printers Guild who co-hosted the event with us and helped bring together a terrific mix of professionals. For those who missed the gracious and witty Ms. Singh, you can catch her on the new season of “Check Please” starting next week.
